My New Bike

This is my Cool new bike!

This is my helmet for riding my cool bike!

Wait, the helmet is not cool!

Helkee! Helkee! It hurts! It hurts!
(Translation: Help Me! Help Me!)

Fine, if you won't take it off, I'll do it myself.

Editor's Note: Jakie hated having the helmet on so much that he did not ride his brand new bike! In fact, he has yet to ride it. And all because of one little helmet...Lots of new blogs added-keep on scrollin'

Future Doctors of America

Deep thoughts by 'Dr. Jakie':
1. Will Moo & La pass the MCATs? (La, yes. Moo-not so sure..)
2. Will I be able to operate with 'blue' in my mouth? (I'm sure I'll see it if it falls into the patient...)
3. Do these hair covers come with SpongeBob on them?
4. Are there Choc milk breaks in med school?
5. I can't believe mommy gets to wear such cool things at work

PS Mommy's catching up on blogging-so keep on scrollin'

Happy Birthday, Daddy

This is my daddy- he's making a silly face for the camera (he doesn't always look like this!)

It's his 34th birthday! Gosh, that's really old...

Daddy and I are trying out our silly party faces for the camera. Mommy, Lily, and I threw daddy a birthday party on Sunday (4 days before daddy's actual birthday). The best thing about the party was the....

CAKE!!! I love cake- it makes the birthday party. Daddy let me helk him blow out the candles and share in his wish (psst...I wished for more cake)

Here we all are after getting sugared up and opening presents. I love birthdays- next one is cousin Alyssa's party on Saturday. More cake-yum!

Here's Lookin' at You

The square root of 1,456,798 is 1206.978873! Glasses ROCK!

Is it true that if you put on a pair of glasses (when you don't need to wear them) you will jinx yourself and thus have to wear glasses? Dr. Mark?

Hmm, these glasses might come in handy with the babes...daddy did get mommy afterall!

Editor's Note: The above glasses theory is a Grandma Genia-ism

My Creek

This is my creek- The Minnehaha Creek. I love going for walks there. I get to run and gallop. I get to me interesting people (like joggers and bicyclists) and dogs.

Best of all, I get to throw rocks, leaves, and sticks into the creek. Daddy always helps me find the biggest rocks to toss in. Those are my favorite- they make a HUGE splash!

Woo!Hoo! That rock made the biggest splash I have ever seen. This is awesome!

There's usually more water in the creek, but since it hasn't rained a lot, the creek is drying up. Because of this, I found alot of things-a sleeping fishy, a glass bottle, a can, a shell, and some smelly weeds. I made sure to investigate each of them thoroughly.

Don't worry, this tree is not attacking me. It just sad and that's why it's weeping. It was fun to run underneath it. Oh, I see a bridge. That's another great spot to throw rocks and leaves into the water. Follow me...

What do you think mommy and I are doing? She's teaching me how to spit in the water below us, of course. I didn't think mommy was so cool! Apparently, you're supposed to spit in the water and make a wish. If you say the wish before the spit hits the water, it'll come true. Hmmm...I wonder where mommy learned that?

Our walk eventually came to an end, but not until I picked up every stick I could find. The next time we come to the creek I'll have lots of things to throw into it!

BaPa, MumMum, and Jakie

When daddy was on his trip, we went to visit our grandparents. I love to visit them because there's always so much to do! BaPa (Grandpa) and I went swimming. It sure was nice hanging out with the boys, but then the girls arrived and the pool got crowded.

MumMum (Grandma) and I played cars in the pool. Then it got too hot and I needed to take my swimming clothes off. Ahhh, it's so much cooler just with the little swimmers on.

BaPa said he'd give me a tractor ride. WooHoo!!! So I got my bubbles (I don't leave home without them) and Nemo baseball cap and hopped into the little wagon. Only drawback was I had to put clothes on...

And BaPa drove us off into the sunset...ok, the pole barn. I got to run around inside- it's huge. Then BaPa pointed out the corn he had planted. We had some of his sweet corn for lunch- everyone said it was yummy and tasted like candy (another ploy to get me to eat something healthy- I didn't fall for it).

You know you had a good time at Grandma and Grandpas when you come home looking like this!

Thanks for the great time- I love you!

Ouchie...Band-Aid?

I LOVE Band-Aids! All I have to do is say "ouchie" and point to a body part and mommy or daddy will get me a band-aid. Band-aids make everything feel better. The best part about them is that sometimes you can rip them apart into many little band-aids and place them on various things througout the house....

Like Moo and La-La. They were talking too much, so the band-aids came in handy.

The kugga's (train) butt hurt, so I put on a band-aid. Yep, bet you didn't know that kuggas have butts...they're always loosing them.

The lizard I got from my cousin Joe's party needed band-aid....after I bit it's tail and a piece was hanging off.

Daddy needed a band-aid over his "ouchie" too. So I helped him out..All better, daddy?

I've been quick to help out those in need of a band-aid's TLC- my toys, daddy, Lily, the furniture, the carpet, my bed, and mommy even walked around the whole mall with a band-aid on her butt....Ahhh, band-aids are awesome. As you can see, you can put them ANYWHERE!!!

Puddle Jumping

I'm so excited! I got these really great rain boots and I get to go outside and jump in some puddles. It just finished raining really, really hard. I watched the whole thing from our window- at times it looked like a monsoon. So there's gotta be some great puddles to slosh through...

Hmm...the depth and width of this puddle seem ideal for jumping. It seems to have a fair amount of water. Wait, let me take a closer look. Yep, this is the one!

Jump! Splash! Giggle! Jump! Splash! Giggle! This is awesome. I can't believe they make shoes especially for this. Does everyone know about this? I could do this all day.

Wait a minute. Why am I wet and dirty? My cute new rain boots are dirty also. You know I hate to be dirty. As much as I love you puddle, you're nothing but trouble.

When the going gets tough, the tough go swinging. Ah, that's much better. I love swinging almost as much as puddle jumping. Only thing is that my boots fall off while I'm swinging. Oh well-it's been a fun evening afterall.

Editor's Note: The puddle Jakie found was the ONLY puddle around after a massive rain. After he swung we went back to do some more puddle jumping, but it had already evaporated. Jakie was confused as to where the puddle went, but was a good sport about its disappearance!

Eat My Shorts

I heard it said that it's hard to fill somebody's shoes. But have you tried to fill daddy's shorts?!? Those things are HUGE. None-the-less, I stole a pair out of the hamper and quickly put them on (I practice taking my pants off whenever I can). I hope they're clean....

They smell clean to me- thank goodness! Hey, how come whenever I put a pair of shorts I only have to use one leg? Do clothing designers not know that the second hole is useless? I'll have to e-mail Heidi Klum at Project Runway and give her a heads up.

It's fun to run around in daddy's shorts. They fall around your ankles sometimes and then you go boom!

Oh wait. On closer inspection these are not clean shorts as I had previously reported. Yikes, gotta go.....

I'm Ba-aack....

...Red train, Blue train...go train go............
Oh, Hi! You caught me trying to catch up on my Dr. Seuss. Trying is the formidable word--just when you think there's a place where you can do a little light reading, mommy shows up with a camera. Is nothing sacred? Where's a "man" supposed to kick back and relax?

Where have I been these past 8 months you ask?
Well, last winter my life turned upside down & inside out...Lilija (aka "Lani") came into the picture. The family got pretty busy and my blogging days were finito! But things are under control now. I'm taller, faster, talk non-stop, turned two, lost a kitty, gained a sister, run circles around everyone (literally), am obsessed with Thomas the Tank (kuggas), love bubbas (bugs), am so over Go-Go (Diego), and as you can see, I'm trying to get potty-trained (that's not going so well-but that depends if you ask me or my parents).
Hope your summer is swell-tering so far...I crack myself up (I get my pun-iness from my dad's side). Gotta go, I need to go Boops!!!!

Happy Halloween

La-La and I decided to go as Twins baseball players this year.
Left-handed pitchers to be exact!

We had alot of fun passing out candy to all the kids. I even got to go trick-or-treating. By the way, Kit Kats are delicious

Just a spoonful of yogurt

It's true. I've started feeding myself (much to mommy's "delight"). With some help, I grab a yogurt (only chocolate or key lime will do), sit down right on the kitchen floor and start "eating".

The really tricky part is getting a spoonful of yogurt into your mouth- some always seems to fall on the floor or on my shirt. But that's okay, I hear Fergie eats anything, so I just leave it for her.

You'd think mommy would know that chocolate yogurt and a white shirt don't mix (silly mommy!)

Mmmm...ice-cream

Today I tasted my very first ice-cream cone. It was de-licious. The best part was the chocolate center. Mmmm...I couldn't get enough of it's lip-smacking goodness!

My vacation up North

Greetings from the Great Northern Territories! Here we are in Lutsen, MN for a "getaway". Mommy and Daddy honeymooned up here (whatever that is) and have been coming every year ever since. We rented a townhouse on Lake Superior- you can run out the back door and jump in the lake (don't think I didn't try). The great thing about the townhouse...it wasn't Jakie proofed. There were drawers to look in, stairs to climb, an oven to play with, and a bathroom to visit. Gosh, IT WAS A GREAT VACATION.

Here I am by the shores of Lake Superior getting dirty ( I did that alot). I like to throw rocks in the water.

La-La came along, of course. After a long day playing in the fresh air, we were starving! I learned that I love biscuits and gravy-yum! I tried a bunch of other foods like eggs and fish, but dessert was by far my favorite.

Here's a picture of the whole famliy. It was drizzling, but that didn't stop us from venturing out. It's really pretty up here-lots of trees, birds, and water.

Oh, by the way-mommy's not fat, she's having a baby!

Daddy's explaining to me that I can't just run into the water-it's really, really cold (I found out 'cause I did get my feet wet) and I don't know how to swim. All in all, it was a great trip. I hope we come back next year (although I heard mommy and daddy saying they were never coming back until the kids are in their 30s...whatever that means)

Tiny Bubbles

Everywhere I look there's bubbles!

Have you ever tried to catch one? It's impossible, but boy did I try.

As you can see, they made me giggle-especially when they landed on my face and popped!

One Fish, Two Fish

I discovered that this is the best place in the whole house to read my favorite Dr. Seuss book!

Of course, reading books is always better with a friend. I know you can't see her, but La-La's in the crate with me.

I'm a Big Boy...

I woke up from my nap, came downstairs, and what do you think I found...a table and chairs all for me!

Do you know the very best thing about them-you can climb on them. Oh yeah, I tried it out and boy is it fun (except when the chair tips over and you fall). But I'm going to keep at it until I don't fall...

Fergie and Molly Did It...

...I came into the kitchen, the cabinet door was open, and ALL the paper towels were pulled from the roll and just laying on the ground.

I didn't want anyone to get in trouble (i.e. Fergie and Molly) so I started to clean up...

Honest!

There's Something About La-La...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think La-La had a left eye transplant...and I think Grandma did it!

I keep poking at the "left-eye" but it doesn't feel the same, nor does it taste the same. That's okay, La-La's right eye is a-okay, so I'll just chew on that one. No hard feelings Grandma- I know you did it for my own safety.
